Super-Spike is a not-for-profit event that depends on over 200 volunteers each year. We hope you will cosinder joining our team! Its a great way to meet new people, help raise money for our annual charities of choice, and get free access to the event once your volunteer shifts are over.

Help make Super-Spike a success
By volunteering, you're helping us fundraise and support local charities and not-for-profits in need!
Requirements
- Must be able to volunteer for a minimum of 8 hours throughout the event
- Must be 18+ and sign a waiver
- Must be reliable, and capable of working as part of a team, under the leadership of our volunteer coordinators and committee.

Orientation
All volunteers must attend an Orientation Meeting on Thursday, July 18 at 7:00 p.m. at Maple Grove Rugby Park. Free refreshments will be provided!
If you volunteered previously for Super-Spike, you're still required to attend the orientation.
If you're absolutely unable to attend the orientation, please email our Volunteer Coordinators to make other arrangements.

Positions
These are the different roles that we have available for volunteers. As a volunteer you'll be asked to sign up for at least two different roles, so that we can have some room to schedule everyone.
Bar Back
Want to keep busy, handle alcohol and keep the party going? You’ll want to be a Bar Back!
Duties include keeping the bar stocked with a healthy supply of alcohol and mix. This is a fast- paced position that is perfect for those who love being involved.
Smart Choices (previously known as Serve it Safe or It's Good Business) certification is preferred but not required.
Must be available Friday evening and/or Saturday.

Bartender
Want to be at the center of the fun at Super Spike? You’ll want to be a Bartender!
Duties include checking IDs, serving alcohol to participants and attendees in a fast-paced environment and maintaining the bar space and supplies.
Must be available Friday evening and/or Saturday.

Drink Ticket Sales
Want to check IDs and help thirsty people get drinks? You’ll want to be a Ticket Seller!
Duties include selling tickets for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and ensuring everyone purchasing tickets has a wristband.
Must be available Friday evening and/or Saturday.

Event Set-Up/Take-Down
Want to help get Maple Grove Rugby Park ready for Super-Spike and help return it to its former state afterwards? You’ll want to be part of Set-Up/Take Down!
Duties include assisting with the set-up of volleyball courts and the beer tent. Setting up the beer tent will include moving tables & chairs and unloading/loading various operational supplies .
Must be available Thursday, Friday Morning, and/or Sunday.
Qualifications
Front Gate
Like to be involved with crowd control and checking IDs? You’ll want to work at Front Gate!
Duties include taking tickets, checking IDs, handling cash and checking off pre-ordered lists.
Must be available Friday evening and/or Saturday.

Roamer
Duties include: Everything!
We'll send you all over the event to wherever you're needed most, so you could spend part of your shift at Front Gate, move over to assist Tournament Admin, and end up with a half-hour of Bar-backing.
As a note: because you're not scheduled anywhere specific, your shifts will be 5 hours instead of 4 - you'll be spending some of your time in the Volunteer Headquarters relaxing and waiting for a job, or hanging out between jobs. Don't worry - if we can put you to work right away and can keep you busy for 4 hours, you'll have a regular-length shift.

Stage Crew
Want to help make the show happen? You’ll want to volunteer as Stage Crew!
Duties include assisting with stage set-up and tear-down. You will need to be good with customer service, standing and walking periodically throughout the weekend and will need to be able to lift 30 pounds.
This is a small crew of dedicated individuals who will be working all weekend. You will have intermittent work throughout the weekend, but you’ll be needed to be available all weekend long.

Tournament Administration
Like sports, charts and information? You’ll want to work in Tournament Administration.
Duties include assisting with tracking of scores, tracking of tournament details, time keeping needs, and providing schedule information to participants.
